In 2020, Lanzini & Sons carried out an extensive interior remodel at All Saints Anglican Cathedral in Long Beach, California. We replaced the flooring, rebuilt the floor layers and renewed the finishes and furnishings throughout the church.

New tile and marble around the altar
We removed the old flooring and installed a new subfloor, HardieBacker underlayment and tile floor. At the central raised altar platform, or predella, we reinforced the existing wooden structure before adding custom-cut marble slabs.
The platform’s carpet was removed and replaced with marble following its tiered, curving design. We designed the marble arrangement as well as the brass communion rails, which we made to fit around the sides of the platform.
Finishes, furnishings and the sound desk
We repainted the whole church and ceiling, refinished all the pews, and refinished and reworked the doors. Curtain work in front of the organ was renewed, with brass work and refinishing carried out throughout the interior.
We also repainted the crowned figure of Christ on the cross, changing its color scheme. A foldable sound desk was made to conceal the sound equipment.
Our 2024 remodel at Immaculate Conception in Sacramento also combined flooring, painting, sacred art and custom sanctuary work.
Project location: All Saints Anglican Cathedral, 346 Termino Ave., Long Beach, CA 90814.
