In 2026, Lanzini & Sons restored a historic baptismal font and designed a new font arrangement at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Sacramento, California. The project also included a new tile floor, restoration of existing frescoes and new plaques.
A historic font within a new arrangement
Beside the historic font, we built a new octagonal marble basin. Our design for the overall setting included new marble pillars, which we also installed. A pump was also part of the installation.
We fabricated the new marble components in our workshop as part of this sanctuary furnishing project.

Restoring and relocating the existing font
We restored the existing pedestal font and relocated it near the northeast doors.

The aisle underfoot
We removed the carpet from the center aisle.

We installed new patterned tile along the aisle and around the font.

Tile flooring was also part of our 2024 remodel at Immaculate Conception in Sacramento, alongside stained glass and repainting throughout the church.
Frescoes and new plaques
We also restored the church’s existing frescoes and created new plaques for the parish.
This followed two separate 2024 jobs at St. Francis: terracotta statue restoration and exterior painting and gilding seven rooftop crosses.
Project location: St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 1066 26th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.
