In 2024, Lanzini & Sons repaired and cleaned the outdoor marble Pietà at Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Redding, California. The sculpture of Mary holding Jesus had suffered deliberate hammer damage.
The noses of both Mary and Jesus had been knocked off. Chunks were also missing from Jesus’s leg, with damage elsewhere on the group.
